Tibbetts Wick reopens after crash

A section of Tibbetts Wick Road is open again in Liberty Township after an early morning accident.

LIBERTY TWP, Ohio - A section of Tibbetts Wick Road is open again in Liberty Township after an early morning accident.

A homeowner called 9-1-1 just after 2 a.m. Tuesday to report a crash just east of Route 11.

When first responders arrived, they found a damaged Chevy Malibu, as well as a downed utility pole and wires.

Rescuers removed the trapped driver from the wreckage and took him to Mercy Hospital in Youngstown. State Troopers did not have information about the victim’s condition.

Tibbetts Wick Road has since reopened.
