According to ESPN, Steelers long-time quarterback Ben Roethlisberger expects this to be his final season with the black and gold, reportedly telling former teammates and "some within the organization." 

Big Ben hasn't made any public comments regarding potential retirement at the end of the season as the Steelers get set for an AFC North clash with the division-leading Ravens Sunday afternoon. 

According to the report from Adam Schefter and ESPN, it doesn't mean Roethlisberger, "couldn't surface next season in another NFL city, but that is 'highly unlikely,' according to one source."

The 39-year old Roethlisberger is in the final year of his contract and playing in his 18th NFL season, all in Pittsburgh. The two-time Super Bowl Champion has 410 touchdown passes and the fifth-most wins in NFL history with 161 according to the article. He has thrown for 2,522 yards, 14 touchdowns and six interceptions in 10 games this season.
