Austintown Police identify suspect in theft of electric scooters

AUSTINTOWN TWP., Ohio - Austintown Police have identified the man who allegedly walked into the Austintown Walmart with an empty shopping cart, filled the cart with electric scooters, then walked out without paying.
Detectives tell 21 News the suspect has been identified, but a name will not be released until charges are filed.
The Austintown Police District has posted three surveillance images on its Facebook page along with a message saying a suspect took three Razor scooters valued at $414.
According to the police report, a Walmart employee tried to question the suspect as he was leaving the store shortly before 2 p.m. on November 20.
The employee says the suspect kept on walking and got into a white Ford Escape being driven by another man.
