A 20-year-old mom from Warren spent most of the weekend behind bars after police say she repeatedly spit and kicked the inside of a police cruiser on her way to jail.

An officer says Alaisha Talbert was pulled over on East Market Street Saturday morning after she allegedly ran a red light.

According to the police report, Talbert gave the officer a false name and said she didn’t know her birthday.

After police determined her real identity, they found she was wanted for failure to appear in court for traffic violations.

A relative arrived to take her two-year-old child and Talbert was handcuffed.

Police say as Talbert was placed in a cruiser, she began shouting obscenities, spitting on the inside of the cruiser, while kicking the partition and bars that covered the windows.

The report says Talbert slipped one of her hands out the cuffs and she pulled open the partition between the front and back seats, spitting at the officer through the slot.

Talbert was booked into jail on charges of harassment by an inmate, falsification, driving under suspension, traffic light violations, and child restraint usage.

A video arraignment was scheduled on Monday
