WARREN, Ohio - A Niles woman awaits sentencing after pleading guilty to charges stemming from a head-on crash that seriously injured her and two others.
Kristi DeSantis, 39, pleaded guilty Monday to two counts of vehicular assault and two counts of operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
The crash occurred in January on Route 46 in front of Texas Roadhouse and the Eastwood Mall.
Troopers say DeSantis was driving a Chevy Malibu that veered into the oncoming lane of traffic, striking a Chevy Impala carrying driver Diane Peyatt of Niles and passenger Bradly Stinson of Warren.
All three were hospitalized with serious injuries.
DeSantis will be sentenced after the completion of a pre-sentencing report.
