YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Bond has been set a $1 million for a man accused of killing his ex-girlfriend in Austintown in October.

Twenty-five-year-old Steve Green III was arraigned Tuesday in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court.

Green was indicted on charges of Aggravated Murder with firearm specifications, Murder with firearm specifications Tampering with Evidence and Domestic Violence.

Police say Green shot his ex-girlfriend, Ashley Lockhart. Austintown Police told 21 News that the two had been together for a few years and the incident was supposedly related to a dispute between relationship issues and their child.

According to Austintown Police, Green has threatened to kill Lockhart more than once.
