Former Mahoning Co. assistant prosecutor running for Trumbull Co. Judge

WARREN, Ohio - A former Mahoning County assistant prosecutor announced her intention to run for Trumbull County Court of Common Pleas Judge.
Dawn Cantalamessa announced her candidacy Thursday, one day after former Ohio Senator Sean O'Brien made his decision to enter the race.
Cantalamessa has worked as a felony prosecutor for twenty years and has completed more than 112 felony-level jury trials including 13 death penalty trials and several cold case murder and rape cases.
She says her life's work of the pursuit of justice for victims of violent crimes and her role as a prosecutor and a mother gives her a unique skillset and experience.
Cantalamessa has been working as an assistant prosecutor in Ashtabula County after resigning from the same position with Mahoning County in August 2021.
