The driver of the Impala, 43-year-old Michael Davies of Greenville was ejected from his car.

A passenger in Salsgiver’s car was also injured.

Both were flown by medical helicopter to hospitals for treatment of serious injuries. Davies died on December 8.

Salsgiver is charged with homicide by vehicle, two counts of aggravated assault by vehicle, failure to stop at a red light, reckless driving, and driving with a suspended license.

A judge set a $50,000 bond for Salsgiver, who remained in the Mercer County jail as of Friday.
