ST. CLAIR TWP., Ohio - A St. Clair Township Police officer is being recognized by township leaders for bringing joy to the township and helping spread holiday cheer.

Officer Kelsey Hedrick, who has played 'The Grinch' in several popular videos on the police stations Facebook Page, will be presented the 'Cheermeister Award.'

The 'Cheermeister Award' is a play off the award presented to the Grinch in the 2000 movie edition of 'How the Grinch Stole Christmas' staring Jim Carrey.

Hedrick's role as The Grinch in the community has gained great popularity. The story line began last year when the Grinch was arrested for steeling presents. The Grinch then had his day in court. But was eventually pardoned and spent this Christmas season visiting with children at local schools and residents at Crossroads Assisted Living. Each experience and update to the story was shared in a video to the police station's Facebook page.

Below are some video clips of The Grinch's visits around town. For more visit the St. Clair Township Police Department Facebook Page.
