Mathews Local School District mandates masks due to spike in COVID-19 cases
Starting Tuesday, all students and staff members will be required to wear a mask during school hours.

Mathews Local School District announced on Monday that it will be issuing a mask mandate for students and staff members effective Tuesday, Jan. 4.
According to a letter sent to parents by District Superintendent Russel McQuade, the mandate was issued due to a significant spike in COVID-19 cases in the area, as well as Ohio.
Starting Tuesday, all students and staff members will be required to wear a mask during school hours.
McQuade says the mandate will be reassessed near the end of January when the new semester begins.
