Restaurants adapting to ever-changing times in 2022

New year, and many restaurants faced with some of the same challenges
"It's definitely affected us but finding ways around it, and to take care of the guests", says Ron Quaranta, owner of Caffe Capri.
A 50-year establishment, and 36-year mainstay in Boardman, Caffe Capri opens for business Friday Jan. 13 after closing its doors on New Year's Day.
"It was just an appropriate time to give everyone a chance to recharge and reset their batteries, and allow people to enjoy time with their families.", Ron added.
Other establishments adjusted their hours to accommodate short staffing.
"Mondays as of right now are out of the picture, I don't know when we'll be able to open back up on Monday's because of staffing." says Alan Donatelli. owner of Donavito's Restaurant and Catering in Struthers.
The issue isn't exclusive to local restaurants, it's a trend the Ohio Restaurant Association says is happening statewide
"The impact on our restaurants, if you have to reduce hours or close for a period of time, think about that, there is zero revenue coming in.", John Barker, spokesperson for the Ohio Restaurant Association.
