YOUNGSTOWN - A Downtown Youngstown restaurant and bar forced to curtail its holiday celebration because of COVID, is reopening to play catch-up this week.

The Federal rebranded itself in December as the “Miracle on Federal”, calling it an “exclusive Christmas pop-up bar” featuring decorations, festive cocktails, Christmas beers, and a special menu.

However, the pandemic forced a change in those plans.

The Miracle closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, announcing that it would not be open after Christmas due to possible COVID-19 exposure. All reservations were canceled, and refunds were issued.

The business also called off a New Year’s Eve party.

According to the bar’s Facebook page, the Miracle will reopen Tuesday, January 11, 2022, and continue until Sunday, January 16.

The post says the opening will give people an opportunity to “enjoy the sights, sounds, and tastes of the best holiday of the year.”

The Federal was one of several Valley venues forced to close over the holidays due to the pandemic and staffing shortages.
