YOUNGSTOWN - Youngstown Police are asking for information about a fatal pedestrian accident on the city's South Side.

Police were called to the 800 block of East Midlothian Boulevard overnight where a man who was walking in the westbound lane was struck by a vehicle.  

The seriously injured man was taken to Mercy Hospital, where he later died.

The name of the victim has not been released.

Police are trying to find out who struck the victim.
