Residents on Youngstown's West Side and parts of Austintown lost power Sunday night and for the second time in as many days, after an outage on the coldest day the area has ever seen impacted over 8,000 people Friday night into Saturday.
A representative from First Energy said that a truck crashed into a pole on the 1600 block of South Meridian Road in Youngstown, causing the outage.
By 4 a.m., the FirstEnergy website reported 20 homes and businesses were without power in downtown Youngstown. The cause of that outage is still being investigated. The estimated time of restoration is 8 a.m.
