Biden family's new cat, Willow, comes from Volant farm

The Biden family introduced the newest White House pet this week and it has ties to our area.
Dr. Jill Biden adopted their new cat, Willow, from a man in Volant.
Willow previously lived on Rick Telesz's farm in Volant and made an impression on Dr. Biden when she came to his farm for an event in 2020.
As she was speaking to the crowd, Willow walked across the stage in front of her.
Dr. Biden acknowledged Willow, who then took a seat in the front row and sat there as she spoke.
Telesz told 21 News that he received a call from a Democratic Party official shortly after the presidential election asking if Dr. Biden could adopt her.
Willow is a two-year-old gray tabby.
She is the first cat to live in the White House since the George W. Bush administration.
