Champion School Board member, former police officer dies
During his time as an officer, he was a two-time Officer of the Year and a six-time Community Service Award recipient.
A member of the Champion Local Schools Board of Education has passed away.
Kelly Boyle died late Saturday night.
Boyle was re-elected to his third term on the board in November.
He had been on the board since 2014 and was its president in 2017.
Boyle was a retired police officer for Champion Township prior to joining the school board.
During his time as an officer, he was a two-time Officer of the Year and a six-time Community Service Award recipient.
