WARREN, Ohio -  Vehicles owned by the City of Warren are not immune from the wave of catalytic converter thefts in the Valley.

Police were called to the Warren City Health Department parking lot on East Market Street on Tuesday after employees noticed an extremely loud exhaust when starting two city-owned vehicles.

It was soon discovered that the catalytic converters had been removed from a pickup truck and a car in the lot.

Officials couldn’t say when the crimes occurred since it had been several weeks since the car had been started.

According to the police report, the loss of the converters is estimated at $1,800.
