As Super Bowl 56 draws closer, police departments across the Valley are preparing for a busy night.

Ohio State Highway Patrol in Canfield says that there will be extra officers on the roads during the game.

Sergeant Eric Brown of OSP Canfield says that they are not solely focused on bars, but will also pay attention to house parties.

"There could be OVI's anywhere, and we encourage everyone to drive safely on Sunday," says Sergeant Brown.

In Columbiana County, there will also be a heavier patrol presence on Sunday.

Ohio State Highway Patrol in Lisbon will also have extra officers out during the game.

They are not focused on any area in particular, and won't be focusing on any area specifically.

However, they will be patrolling roads that are more highly frequented.

"We'll be patrolling all areas of the county, mostly to defer people from drinking and driving," says Sergeant Patrick Abel of Lisbon OSP.

You can watch Super Bowl 56 on 21 WFMJ Sunday, February 13.
