LISBON, Ohio - A Lisbon convenience store is no longer permitted to sell food until it corrects health violations.

The Columbiana County Board of Health has voted to suspend the food license of the Valley View gas station on North Market Street, according to newly appointed environmental health program manager Laura Fauss.

The health board was show pictures of rodent droppings, improper storage, pest control violations, generally poor sanitation conditions, and a sink cross-connection were reported to the board by the environmental director Lori Barns, according to Fauss.

Late last month Valley View’s gas pumps were shut down after a pickup truck crashed into a gas island.
