SCOTT TWP., Pa. -  First responders in Lawrence County spent Friday morning rescuing people from rising waters.

According to the Scott Township Fire Department, crews were called out just before 7 a.m. to rescue two people trapped in a vehicle stuck in floodwaters.

Around 8 a.m. firefighters from Scott Township and members of the Neshannock Boat Team were dispatched to Village Drive and Studebaker Road to evacuate residents along Slippery Rock Creek.

Lawrence County EMA and Team 300 from Butler County also assisted.
