WARREN, Ohio - Members of Warren’s City Council are being asked to approve the work needed to build a trail connecting three city parks.

Legislation submitted by Councilwoman-at-large Helen Rucker would authorize Mayor Doug Franklin to advertise consulting, engineering, planning, and construction bids for a project that would be known as the Downtown Warren Multi-Use Trail.

The multi-use trail would connect Burbank Park, Packard Park, and Perkins Park, all three of which are along the Mahoning River.

The legislation is on Wednesday’s council agenda as an emergency measure, which if passed, would take effect immediately.
