Juniors and seniors at Sebring McKinley High School now have the opportunity to relax in a new lounge space.

The newly refreshed space provides an exclusive location for juniors and seniors to spend free periods, lunch and study hall time. This is the only area of the school in which cell phone use is permitted.

Students can earn access to this lounge through the school's Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) rewards system when the students are recognized for meeting and exceeding the district-wide expectations of being respectful, responsible and safe.

The lounge will be featured at Sebring's Spotlight Night on Tuesday, March 1. Students and their families will have the opportunity to enjoy a complementary meal, enter to win a door prize and visit three special spotlights.

Spotlights include a coffee house in the new lounge, carpentry, e-sports, art, academic challenge, study games, musical performances and much more.

Anyone wishing to attend Spotlight Night must RSVP by Thursday, Feb. 24 through fliers sent home with students, also posted on the school's Facebook page.
