BOARDMAN TWP., Ohio - A Warren man suspected of shoplifting thousands of dollars worth of merchandise from stores in Boardman and Austintown is in jail.
Kalen Seawood, 27, was arrested on Tuesday by authorities in Trumbull County on warrants issued by police departments from both townships.
According to police reports, Seawod used a duplicate key to unlock a display case at the Boardman Walmart on January 27 and February 18 to take headphones, AirPods, and cell phone accessories worth a total of $2,263.
Another police report says Seawood is suspected of shoplifting a $958 camera from the Boardman Sam's Club on February 5 of last year.
Seawood is wanted in Austintown for allegedly loading $1,214 worth of electronics into a shopping cart at Home Depot two days after this past Christmas and walking out without paying.
Police say an unnamed woman was involved in some of the crimes.
Seawood has been booked into the Mahoning County jail where he awaits a hearing scheduled for Thursday in a Boardman courtroom.
