Standoff at Boardman townhouse ends with suspect arrested
According to Boardman Police Chief Todd Werth, Dates was wanted on two out-of-county felony warrants.

Boardman police officers made an arrest Monday evening following a standoff situation.
BPD and SWAT officers were on the scene on the 4800 of Erie Street after a man ran into one of the townhouses and refused to come out.
The man, later identified as 24-year-old Darius Dates, came out of the building after a short period of time.
According to Boardman Police Chief Todd Werth, Dates was wanted on two out-of-county felony warrants.
Following the standoff, Boardman police filed inducing panic and obstructing official business charges, both felonies, against Dates.
He is also charged with a misdemeanor charge of resisting arrest.
