Detectives have a challenge ahead of them trying to find out more about the shooting of a man being treated at Mercy Hospital.

Police say the wounded victim was dropped off at the hospital early Wednesday. The car that brought him drove away.

Officers say they tried to find out more about the circumstances surrounding the shooting and where it occurred. However, police say the victim, who is in stable condition, isn't telling them anything.

Police say there was a report of shots fired at the Plaza View Apartments on Youngstown's East Side shortly after 1 a.m., but investigators aren't sure that the two incidents are connected.
