Serious injury crash brings secret OVI indictment against Leavittsburg man
A grand jury has handed up a secret indictment accusing a Leavittsburg man of driving drunk when his SUV crashed into a stone bridge, seriously injuring a passenger.

A grand jury has handed up a secret indictment accusing a Leavittsburg man of driving drunk when his SUV crashed into a stone bridge, seriously injuring a passenger.
Michael Perry, 30, pleaded not guilty on Tuesday to charges of aggravated vehicular assault and operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and drugs.
According to an accident report, Perry’s Honda Pilot ran into a stone railroad trestle along Austintown Warren Road in Weathersfield on July 25.
Twenty-two-year-old Robert Byler of Middlefield, one of Perry’s three passengers, was seriously injured.
The accident report says Perry’s blood-alcohol level was .127. The blood alcohol content to drive legally is .08%.
