Ukrainian President addresses Congress on screen built by Canfield company

The eyes of American lawmakers watched an impassioned speech from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Wednesday, and the screen they saw him speaking on was made by a Canfield-based company.
Clare Neff and her husband Bruce, who serves as a Canfield City Council member, own LED3. Their company specializes in making large LED screens, including the one President Zelenskyy appeared on when he addressed a joint session of congress.
"It gives us a great sense of pride when you see the world looking at something you created," said Clare Neff. "Especially the president of another country that is in dire need speaking directly to our lawmakers. It's pretty cool."
LED3 has four screens inside the U.S. Capitol, and another one will be placed inside sometime in the next month.
Bruce Neff was at a convention in Washington D.C. about six years ago. While marketing the company's product, he met someone who worked for the Capitol building.
"That's how we got the gig," Clare Neff said.
One of the various screens LED3 made was shown in video footage across the nation when images of U.S. Capitol police officers sleeping inside the building were displayed the night of January 6, 2021.
And the small company of just seven employees has plenty of other screens in popular places. They made the scoreboard at Youngstown State football's home Stambaugh Stadium. LED3 also has screens at locations like the Hollywood Bowl in California and inside two different Holocaust memorial museums located in Chicago and Dallas.
Clare Neff said their workers were proud to have played a small part in a larger historical event.
