Boardman Fire Department responded to a call from the Mizu Japanese restaurant in Boardman after the restaurant's roof caved in Friday evening.

Boardman's Assistant Fire Chief Rob John tells 21 News the roof caved in due to the age of the wood. He tells us nobody in the restaurant was injured.

John also tells us that the incident caused some of the restaurant's windows to break, and that Disaster Recovery Services is currently headed to the scene to board up the windows and further inspect the property.

The restaurant is expected to be closed for the next few days while repairs take place.
