WARREN, Ohio - A Warren woman has been arrested for a domestic violence incident at Riverview Apartments on Buckeye Street.

Police responded to the call at approximately 4:40 a.m. Tuesday morning. Upon arrival, police observed broken glass, food thrown on the floor and blood on the victim's shirt, as well as the back wall of the apartment.

The female victim told police that she and her girlfriend, suspect Ashley Bika (33) had been living together for about one year. She told police that she had recently gotten her tax return and the two were arguing over the money.

The two allegedly began fighting with Bika allegedly punching the victim in the face and cutting her own arms and wrists with a piece of broken glass. After the victim tried to grab the glass from Bika, she allegedly grabbed a knife from the kitchen threatening to kill the victim.

Police say after this, the victim made the domestic violence call and Bika left with approximately $150 of the victim's money.

About an hour later, police were dispatched back to the apartment for another domestic violence call involving the same individuals. Upon arrival, Bika was placed in police custody.

Bika told police she left the scene during the first call because she was tired of listening to the victim yell at her. When Bika was asked why she cut her wrists, she told police that she didn't and she just got cut on the broken window outside, however police say the window was broken a few days prior.

Bika was then transported to St. Joseph's Hospital. Upon release, she was booked in the Trumbull County Jail with charges of Felonious Assault and Domestic Violence.

Bika was arraigned in Warren Municipal Court Wednesday morning pleading "not guilty."

She's scheduled to appear in court again for a contested hearing on Thrusday, March 31 at 1:30 p.m.
