Lordstown Motors has yet to reach agreement with Foxconn to develop EVs

LORDSTOWN, Ohio - Lordstown Motors Corp. President Edward Hightower spoke at the MIH Partner Gathering Thursday and revealed that Lordstown Motors has not reached an agreement with Foxconn EV Technology, Inc. to jointly develop vehicles off the MIH platform or with regard to any financing from Foxconn, according to an SEC filing.
MIH is a group of electric vehicle partners that Foxconn put together.
The SEC filing says "no assurances can be given that any agreement will be reached or as to the terms of any such agreement."
Also included in the filing is the statement that "while negotiations continue, no assurances can be given that Lordstown Motors and Foxconn will enter into the agreements."
The above statement refers to a November 10, 2021 asset purchase agreement that is subject to closing conditions and other agreements and approvals that may not be consummated, according to the filing.
Hightower said during the presentation to the MIH group that Lordstown Motors is very excited about their planned partnership with Foxconn.
During the speech, Hightower said Lordstown Motors expects to bring the Endurance to market in the third quarter of 2022.
