Bon Secours Mercy Health working to help people in Ukraine
Bon Secours Mercy Health is using their influence to aid the people of Ukraine.
Bon Secours Mercy Health has a strong international aid experience and a European health care system that had allowed them to create direct contacts at the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
Bon Secours Mercy Health is actively involved in Ukraine efforts and has set up a fundraising site to support the people ok Ukraine. 100% of donations will go toward emergency relief.
"It is clear that financial resources are most needed at this time and by working with trusted partners, we can ensure that the needed supplies will be purchased and delivered directly to those who need it," said John Starcher, CEO, Bon Secours Mercy Health. "We are also in the process of securing specific goods in the U.S. which will be sent as soon as transportation is finalized."
Bon Secours Mercy Health will be working directly with Medical Help Ukraine, a group of doctors in Ireland working to give medical aid. They are also working with the Polish Rescue Organization, an independent, non-profit, founded by doctors who are currently purchasing medical supplies for Ukraine.
As a ministry, BSHM has to date pledged $500,000 toward this effort, in addition to the nearly $200,000 already provided by Bon Secours Ireland and BSMH Global Ministries to Catholic Relief Services, Americares and Medical Help Ukraine.
