YOUNGSTOWN - Youngstown firefighters worked early Friday to keep flames spreading from one burning home to a neighboring house on the city's South Side.
A caller told dispatchers were told at around 4:30 a.m. that a house on the 100 block of East Boston was on fire.
Flames caused heavy damage to the home.
As crews worked to put out the fire, other firefighters tried to stop it from spreading to a house next door. The second-floor exterior of the neighboring home was singed.
The owner told firefighters there was no one else inside the house.
Investigators will be looking for the cause of the blaze.
