Local detectives are asking for the publics help identifying a man they believe is responsible for two recent burglaries at sports card stores in both Boardman and in Niles.

The first burglary took place in early March at Niles Sports Cards and Collectibles on Robins Avenue. More than $9,000 in collectible items were stolen from the business.

The owners of the shop is now offering a $500 reward.

According to a police report, at about 4:20 a.m. on Thursday, March 3rd, the owner received an alert on their phone that someone had broken into the shop.

Surveillance video shows a male suspect breaking the glass to the business's side door and then enter the store. The suspect went directly to two display cases, where he broke the glass on both of them and took the contents inside. The suspect then went to the display case directly behind the two he had just broken and took the content of that case as well.

According to police, the suspect took more than $9,000 in sport cards and collectible items. The items include a Hines Ward jersey valued at $130, a Mac Jones wildcard Matte with thumbprint valued at $350 and a Trever Lawrence wildcard Matte with thumbprint, also valued at $350.
