A 45-year-old Mercer County man has been cleared of five separate charges alleging that he sexually assaulted a minor for two years.

Mercer County District Attorney Peter Acker tells 21 News that Thomas Critchlow passed a lie detector test, so the charges have been dismissed.

State Police say the Volant man was arrested on March 20 after a 15-year-old girl came forward claiming she was the victim of sexual assault at the hands of Critchlow from March 20, 2020, until March 19, 2022, allegedly beginning when the girl was 13.

Critchlow had been charged with four felonies, Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse, Aggravated Indecent Assault, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Corruption of a Minor, and a misdemeanor for Indecent Assault.
