GE recalls refrigerators after several reported injuries
General Electric is recalling six stainless steel refrigerators.

General Electric is recalling six different models of their stainless steel refrigerators.
GE issued a recall Thursday, April 14 of their French Door Refrigerators in Fingerprint Resistant Stainless Steel refrigerators after complaints of the bottom drawer handle coming off when trying to open it, creating a fall hazard.
According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, there has been 71 reports of the handle detaching, resulting in 31 injuries and three serious fall injuries.
The refrigerators were sold at Home Depot, Best Buy and Lowe's and other stores from February 2020 to August 2021.
GE is working to contact customers directly.
