Residents in Trumbull and Geauga counties that usually take their garbage to a collection facility will need to plan around the waste management district's new hours beginning Wednesday.

The Geauga-Trumbull Solid Waste Management District is changing the Trumbull County site's hours from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. starting April 20. Hours are being adjusted because of a second collection facility in Geauga County will open this year, the district said. The Trumbull Collection Facility accepts household
hazardous waste, electronics and appliances for free disposal.

The Trumbull County site will accept only electronics and appliances on Tuesdays once the new schedule takes effect. Household Hazardous waste items will be accepted on other days.
