JACKSON TOWNSHIP, Mahoning County, Ohio - An accident shut down one of the traffic lanes along eastbound Interstate 76 in Jackson Township on Thursday.
First responders reported that two people were trapped in a car that crashed along the interstate just west of the Ohio Turnpike at around 11 a.m.
The car went off the road and into a brushy area.
Troopers say two women, both in their 80's, were trapped in the car. They say the women were not sure what caused the crash and were taken to a hospital for evaluation, but were said to 'okay.'
Traffic was directed into the passing lane for an hour when both lanes were open again.
