Warren Police investigate shooting of 12-year-old boy

WARREN, Ohio - Warren Police Detectives are investigating the wounding of a 12-year-old boy as a case of child endangering.
According to a police report, officers were called to a home on the 400 block of Martin Street just after midnight Saturday to investigate a call that someone had been shot.
Police arrived to find that a boy who lives at the home had already been taken to a hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound that caused what the report described as a major injury.
Officers collected a shell casing and a semi-automatic pistol at the scene and interviewed witnesses.
The report does not give other information about the circumstances surrounding the incident or the current condition of the victim.
