WARREN, Ohio - Warren City Council members are expected to vote this week on a plan similar to one from the City of Youngstown’s government playbook.

Included on Wednesday’s council meeting agenda is a measure to split $5 million in American Rescue Plan funds among the city’s seven wards and three at-large council members for local projects.

Under the emergency legislation, the projects would require the approval of the city law director and auditor.

Earlier this month, Youngstown City Council voted to spend $2 million worth of ARP funding in each ward.
