Trumbull County Commissioners decided that the county's public water systems will not be sold to Aqua Ohio.
The commissioners decided against a $8 million dollar offer from the private water provider, but will consider future explorations.
Aqua Ohio previously pitched to the Trumbull County commissioners to buy the Southeast Public Water System, which services parts of Hubbard, Vienna and Brookfield.
Some commissioners were concerned about the increased rates that would have come with Aqua Ohio's purchase.
Trumbull County Commissioners also argued that their sanitary district is already delivering a good product.
