WARREN, Ohio - A 27-year-old Warren woman faces charges after police say she was found unresponsive in an SUV with a baby inside.

According to a police report, when an officer arrived at the Pit Stop gas station on Youngstown Road SE on Saturday, two people were pulling Helen Halstead out of the SUV.

After she was placed on the ground, the officer administered the opiate overdose reversal drug Narcan.

The woman began breathing again a couple of minutes later.

An ambulance crew arrived and took Halstead to St. Joseph Hospital.

Because a 4-month-old girl was in the car and the keys were in the SUV’s ignition, police placed a hold on Halstead, charging her with child endangering and failing to have control of her vehicle.

Halstead pleaded not guilty to the charges and has another court hearing scheduled for June.
