LISBON, Ohio - Lisbon has been announced as one of just 8 recipients in the state of a low-interest loan to help with water infrastructure projects.

The money comes from the Ohio Water Development Authority. A total of $9.18 million was awarded to 8 different communities in Ohio, with the goal of improving wastewater and drinking water infrastructure.

Lisbon will receive $260,910 of that money, to go toward the design of a 500,000 gallon elevated water storage tank, new booster pump station, and new waterlines to improve pressure in the northern area of the Village.

The funds come with a 2.41% interest rate over 5 years.
