BOARDMAN, Ohio - Boardman Subaru and Subaru of America will be presenting two checks nearing $50,000 to two local charities. 

Boardman Subaru is presenting a donation check of $19,025 to Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley and $30,856 to Akron's Children's Hospital of the Mahoning Valley. 

Akron Children's was selected by Boardman Subaru as their hometown charity choice for the 2021 Subaru Share the Love Event for the 10th year in a row, and Second Harvest Food Bank for the second year in a row. 

From November 18, 2021 to January 3, 2022, every new Subaru purchased or leased, Subaru of America donated $250 for every vehicle purchased. 

Boardman Subaru also donated $50 for every vehicle purchased, as well as $5 for every oil change during the Share the Love event. 

Subaru of America and its retailers have exceeded a grand total of $200 million donated since the creation of the Subaru Share the Love Event. 

Akron Children's Hospital has received over $260,000 as part of the Share the Love Program since 2014.

Boardman Subaru and Subaru of America will be presenting the checks to the Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley and to Akron's Children's Hospital of the Mahoning Valley Friday, May 6.
