YSU will be holding outside commencement ceremony rain or shine

YOUNGSTOWN - Youngstown State University will be holding their outdoor commencement ceremony this coming weekend.
Nearly 1,600 students will be graduating from Youngstown State University Saturday, May 7 despite any weather issues that may arise.
YSU issued a release that clarified that the ceremony will take place rain or shine, and that attendees should come dressed for the weather.
Currently, rain is in the forecast for Saturday, but not Sunday.
In the case of extreme weather, the ceremony will be switched to 1 p.m. Sunday, May 8. Students will be notified of the switch via their YSU email address.
Youngstown State began holding outside ceremonies due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the university previously held the ceremony in Beeghly Hall.
