'Podcastathon' will raise money for Lowellville postponed prom

POLAND, Ohio - A local podcast will go live this weekend with a goal of making Lowellville's postponed prom extra special.
Twice a week, the MLO Bros, Luke and Isaac Schuster, host a live podcast. Their conversations often center on local news and events, as well as helping local businesses and charities.
This Sunday, May 8th at 8:30 p.m., the MLO Bros. will broadcast a 'podcastathon' with a focus on raising money for Lowellville's prom. The event was postponed after a self-inflicted shooting incident involving a student took place at the school on Thursday.
"This is a tragedy, not just for Lowellville, but for the entire area," said Luke Schuster. "They are our areas children so we all have to rally together."
Schuster says the money raised will go to the district to help purchase food, supplies, or any items that would help make the prom extra special.
"It hits us personally because we have kids, my wife is a teacher in Poland, Isaac has nephews and friends that have kids in the different school districts," said Schuster. "When something like this happens the community really has to get together and help, put our difference aside and help our area and our kids."
Those interested in giving can donate money through Venmo, or checks can be dropped off at the brothers Mortgage Loan Office, 33 Sheridan Road in Poland. They say if no one is there, checks can be placed under the door.

The podcastathon can be found Sunday at 8:30 p.m. on the MLO Bros. Facebook page.
