NILES, Ohio -  The Youngstown Salem Boxing Club is hosting an amateur boxing event to help bring the community together. 

The boxing club is hosting a USA Amateur Boxing night outside of El Jalapeno restaurant in Niles. 

The goal of the event is to help bring the community together for a night of wholesome entertainment. 

Teen Challenge and Now Youngstown will be in attendance. The event is highlighting people throughout the area who are working to help better the community. 

The event will also showcase the Mexican and American heritage of the fighters that are coming together because of their love of boxing. 

The event begins Saturday, May 7 at 5p.m.

General admission tickets are $25.
