Warren child endangering suspect accused of assaulting Victim's Advocate at court

WARREN, Ohio - A woman who was in court for child endangering faces a new charge after allegedly assaulting a Victim’s Advocate at Warren Municipal Court.
According to a police report, 34-year-old Yolanda Adair was yelling at the advocate and a woman she had been counseling at the court on Monday.
The advocate claims she was pushed by Adair while trying to enter her office.
Court bailiffs escorted Adair from the office area and she was booked into the county jail on a felony charge of felonious assault.
Adair had been in court on Monday to answer the child endangering charge filed last week in connection with an April incident where a 12-year-old boy was shot on Martin Drive SW.
Adair has pleaded not guilty to both the endangering and assault charge is scheduled to appear in court again later.
The Victim Advocate provides several services including notifying crime victims of court hearings, the disposition of cases, educating victims relative to the criminal justice system and their rights, court processes, providing court support as well as providing information on job listings, resources for assistance with utilities, issues with housing, counseling, and drugs/alcohol.
