Trumbull County is now home to one of Ohio's many 'storybook trails'

Trumbull County is now home to one of Ohio's many "storybook trails."
The ribbon was cut on a trail at Mosquito Lake. The trails are about a half mile long and along the way children can read pages from a story.
The trails are inspired by books sent as part of the Governor's Imagination Library. The Imagination Library Program mails one free book each month until a child's 5th birthday.
"We chose those books to be on the storybook trail," said Mary Mertz, Director of ODNR. "They can walk the trail, enjoy nature, read a story, there are activities on the story pages. It's all about having fun."
The Ohio Department of Natural Resources launched the Storybook trail program in 2019 in an effort to promote literacy and a healthy lifestyle.
This trail is near the imagination station in the park.
