Two dead in fiery crash on Interstate 71

MIFFLIN TWP. Ohio - Two people died in a fiery crash involving a tractor-trailer and a car near Mansfield Ohio.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the accident that took place on Interstate 71 Southbound in Mifflin Township, Richland County at 11 p.m. Saturday.
Troopers say a Jeep Liberty traveling northbound lost control and traveled into the southbound lane and was struck by an oncoming Freightliner.
The Jeep was pushed into a guardrail and caught fire. Two people in the Jeep, 18-year-old Allison McCort and 25-year-old Evan Friend, both of Canton, died in the crash.
Troopers say neither were wearing seatbelts and were thrown from the Jeep.
Two people in the Freightliner were not injured.
Interstate 71 southbound was closed for four hours.
