Valley Congressman, Tim Ryan will be presenting a ceremonial $2.7 million check from the Economic Development Agency (EDA) for Trumbull County's Golden Triangle Project on Thursday, May 26.

The project, which is funded by the American Rescue Plan, as well as EDA's $300 million Coal Communities Commitment is meant to improve roads and sewer infrastructure in Trumbull County's 1,000 acre Golden Triangle.

Warren's Director of Community Development, Michael Keys says the project started several years ago with Warren City, Howland Township, Trumbull County Engineers and Trumbull County Commissioners.

The project has three major goals:

- Reconfiguring the intersection at the corner of Bronze Road and Larchmont Avenue so trucks can turn left at the intersection.

- Realigning the intersection of Paige Avenue and Dana Street to make it easier for truck traffic.

- Making infrastructure improvement on Bronze Road like modernizing the area for trucks, as well as improving water lines and infrastructure.

Ryan will be presenting the check at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Primetals Technologies in Warren.
